| Subject: | Developer vs. Toner |
| Question: | What is the difference between developer and toner? |
|
| Answer: | Both toner and developer are usually required in all copiers. Toner is something that the customer adds as needed when the “toner light” comes on. Developer is something that is changed, not added by a technician when the “call for maintenance” light comes on. Developer is much heavier than toner because it is a mix of toner and magnetic iron particles. |

| Subject: | Supplies Requests |
| Question: | Why do you always ask me my equipment ID number even though I tell you what specific supplies I need? |
|
| Answer: | Not only do we want to be sure we send you the correct supplies for your machine, we also want to be sure we send them to the correct location. Your equipment ID number tells us specifically which machine you need supplies for and your exact address. In addition, over the last year we began a process of linking your supplies to your machine so eventually we will know exactly when you need additional supplies even before you do. |

| Subject: | Toner for Sharp Fax Machine |
| Question: | I just added toner to my Sharp fax machine and now it still says to add toner. Why? |
|
| Answer: | In addition to actually adding the toner, you also need to clear the toner counter. If you have a FO-2950 Series Fax, hit the FUNCTION key, then 9, then #, and # again. The machine should now say, “Clear Toner Count”, Press the START key. If you have a FO-5800 Series fax do the following: Flip up the plastic piece above the Number Keys, Hit the Life (V) key, Hit the #2 (Drum Life=#3), Then press START. |
